The giant’s kettle is a deep, rounded hole in the bedrock created during the last Ice Age. Glacial meltwater with swirling stones and gravel eroded the rock over thousands of years, leaving behind a smooth, cylindrical pothole. This one is perhaps the most impressive example in all of Sweden.

The visible hole has a depth of about 4 meters, and beneath it is a second, smaller kettle roughly 2 meters deep — nested inside the larger one, which is quite rare.
