Source Wikepedia: In 1782 there was talk of a moated country house with an accompanying farm, then owned by the Coene family. In the mid-19th century it was owned by the Claus family and at the end of the 19th century it came into the hands of the Leirens family. In the 4th quarter of the 19th century, and possibly also in 1914, adjustments were made in neo-Louis XVI style. The bell gable is striking.

From 2009 to 2012 the building was completely rebuilt in its original form by the then owner, investor Marc Coucke.
