Tips
Niedergösgen was until the beginning of the 20th century, a predominantly influenced by agriculture village. The water power of the Aare was used at Mülidorf early (from the second half of the 16th century) for the operation of a paper mill, in its place later a flour mill and finally a gypsum mill. Since the late 19th century Niedergösgen developed thanks to the shoe factory Bally in Schönenwerd.
