Promenade fleurie

The Promenade Fleurie is the flagship of flowering in Mimizan: located in a cove of the lake attached to the land by a wooden bridge, it has more than 300 varieties of plants. This flowery paradise is accessible and beautiful all year round and hosts the Jardins en Fête event every year on the 3rd weekend of May. For more than 30 years, the Community of Municipalities of Mimizan has been mobilizing for the quality of its environment. The town of Mimizan obtained its 1st Flower in 1981 and its 4th Flower in 1995. The seaside resort is thus rewarded for all the efforts made on a daily basis by its environment department.
Since 1996, the municipalities of Pontenx les Forges and Saint Paul en Born have also embarked on a process of improving the living environment of their municipality, thanks to the regular development of their respective technical services and the participation of the population. The municipality of Pontenx les Forges thus obtained 2 Flowers in 2012 and Saint Paul en Born 2 Flowers in 2003.
