Hiking

The shipyard was built in 1750 by King Frederik V as a war station and naval base. It became the main station for the navy and at the same time the largest shipyard in the country. The ocher-colored barracks, which used to serve as boat berths and quarters for commanders, officers and crews, are striking.

Several galleries and museums have settled in Fredriksvern Verft, offering activities all year round.
