Built between 1696 and 1714, by the Jesuits following plans made in Rome. It was the church of the college that the Jesuits owned in the city between 1650 and 1767, the year of their expulsion from Spain. Its facade is decorated with columns, shelves and windows, and heraldic symbols of the Andrade, Aranda and Guimarei. It has a good cloister and its rooms are partly occupied by museum rooms. It has interesting altarpieces where high-quality pieces attributed to Pedro de Mena, Gregorio Fernández, Pedro de Campo, Bieito Silveira and Gambino, among others from the Compostela and Castilian school, are brought together. The adjoining building, called Sarmiento, was the headquarters of the College until the expulsion of the Jesuits.

The Church of San Bartolomé (Igrexa de San Bartolomé in Galician) is a Baroque church located in the city of Pontevedra in Spain. It is on Calle Sarmiento, near the old Santa Clara or Rocheforte gate of the old city walls. The church is next to the Colegio de la Compañía de Jesús, today belonging to the Pontevedra Museum.
