The Civic Tower, called cioché mot (stopped bell tower) by the inhabitants of Rivaglia, was one of the three accesses to the medieval refuge. Located at the highest point of the fortified perimeter, it controlled the east-west road axis of the urban nucleus from the west.

Since 1874, the belfry housed the clock and the two bells, which were then transferred to the Parish bell tower in 1934. Their precious function of scanning the time, work and celebrations of the village continues, thanks to the single golden bell, a gift from the engineer. Vittorio Giovanni Sclaverani, which still strikes the hours today.
