This charming little village has nothing to do with Georges Pompidou, president of France in the 1960s.
The town, although tiny, encompasses no less than three exceptional Natura 2000 sites: the Gardon valley of Mialet, the Gardon valley of Saint-Jean, and of course is part of the Cévennes massif.
