The descent into the "Gorges de chassezac" is done in less than an hour from La Garde-Guérin. On the way there are beautiful views of the valley. Once at the bottom, you really deserve a refreshing swim in an impressive setting.

The path is very worthwhile, but should not be underestimated. There are some steep passages that are slippery due to leaves and sand.
The ascent is strenuous, but doable.
The bathing area is really a highlight. We were alone at first, later many canyoning groups came by for which this seems to be the ascent point.
