Mountain biking
Its eruption from November 18th to 27th, 1909 was the last volcanic eruption on Tenerife. More than 2 km² of land was devastated by lava and ash, but no one was hurt.
In its vicinity, barely 3 km away, is another cinder cone that destroyed the port city of Garachico in 1706 with lava flows.
