Measurements: Total height (h) = 26.0 m Cannon vault (c) = 4.40 m Average crown (C) = 11.4 m

Notes (NB): L’Avet de la Solaneta is located near Sant Maurici Lake, next to the E. Mallafré refuge. It is a unique tree for its size and age and located on a busy road that borders the lake on the south side.

This Fir is located in a mixed forest with species such as the moixera, the birch, the black pine and the fir as the predominant tree. These are species typical of the subalpine habitat that live in environments with cold winters and an abundance of snow and cool, humid summers.

In this mixed forest, the largest and most prominent tree is the fir. There are other large fir trees around, none of them, but they are about the size of our fir tree.
