The landscape of the toll road on the south bank of the Walchensee in Bavaria is really beautiful. It begins in Einsiedl am Walchensee and runs directly on the lake to Niedernach. From there the toll road goes to Jachenau in the hamlet of Mühle. The Bavarian State Forests are the owners of the toll road.
The toll road Einsiedl - Jachenau is approx. 12 kilometers long and connects the Jachenau with the Walchensee and the upper Isar valley with Mittenwald, Krün and Wallgau in the Karwendel.

There are some parking spaces along the toll road for swimming at the lake or for a hike on Lake Walchensee. Once you have paid the toll, parking in the signposted parking lots is free - there are around 25 parking spaces! Parking is not allowed at night, after 10 p.m. parking along the toll road is prohibited.

The toll costs for a car or motorcycle are € 4.00; the use of the road is free of charge for cyclists.
