The sound experience oasis in Laudenbach used to be the local quarry, where citizens could quarry the sandstone they needed for their private house construction "free of charge" up until the 1950s. Yes, in the past you could buy your own home cheaply with the help of muscle power and the support of many friends. The quarry later fell into disrepair and became an adventure playground for children. In the 1990s, the idea of setting up a rest and barbecue area in the old quarry came up. Wooden sound elements were also installed with EU funding. All in all a successful development.
