Scheibe, Upper Sorbian Šiboj, was a place in the district of Hoyerswerda on the Kleine Spree, which was devastated and demolished in 1986/1987 for the Scheibe opencast mine. Today the Scheibe-See, which belongs to the Lusatian Lake District, is located at this point. There is a memorial stone and an information board on the cycle path that goes around the lake near the former location.

Since 2017 it has been possible to swim on the western shore of the lake.

The cycle path around the Scheibesee is considered to be challenging.
The lake is still little developed for tourism.
The overgrown dunes in the southern part are ideal for a romantic trip for two.
The Scheibesee is almost completely natural.
In the future there will be various leisure and sports facilities, accommodation and a slipway and jetty for boats.
Therefore there are no sanitary facilities and places to stop for refreshments for the time being.
The lake is 684 hectares in size and is surrounded by greenery.
