Fishing lake Heiligenstedten
The Forellensee Heiligenstedten is located in the western outskirts of Itzehoe in the state of Schleswig Holstein. The facility is located at the end of a small settlement, framed by trees, and can be reached via the forest path from Julianka Street. In general, the Forellensee Heiligenstedten is very well connected, which is noticeable at the weekend when all fishing spots are occupied. The lake is quite large at around eight acres and offers quite an authentic fishing experience rather than the feel of a self-service fish shop. The shores are designed to be close to nature and only allow fishing at the Forellensee Heiligenstedten from specially designated places, so that there is no crowding even when it is full. With a maximum depth of almost fourteen meters, you also have significantly more leeway in terms of fishing techniques than on comparable smaller waters.
The fish population is quite diverse and goes far beyond the typical portion trout. Of course, these are also regularly stocked and are the most common angling fish in the pond. With a bit of luck, large and red-fleshed rainbow trout can also be caught and are almost as popular among guests as the char or gold trout that are stocked again and again. Those who are less interested in salmonids when fishing at Forellensee Heiligenstedten can choose from numerous other target fish. This includes big carp and sturgeons as well as zander and eel. There are also tench and numerous smaller white fish.
