The Zurkhaneh School combines martial arts, gymnastics, strength training and music. This sport combines various elements of the pre-Islamic Persian culture (Zoroastrianism). It is practiced in a dome to the beat of drums and consists mainly of gymnastic movements combined with combat exercises with heavy wooden skittles.
