There is a great view of Caerhays Castle from the road, down the access lane to the west of the main castle entrance.

Caerhayes Castle and gardens are open to the public during the spring. A beach cafe run by the castle at Caerhays Bay is open all year round.

The building was built in 1808 and the woodland gardens were created from the finds of plant hunters who returned from China in the 19th Century.

For Poldark fans, although it isn't a filming location, in one of the novels Jeremy, Ross and Demelza's son meets a romantic interest at Caerhays Castle.
