The Seven Sleepers Chapel near Weyhers was built in 1975. There was a much older wayside chapel nearby, which was re-erected in 1978 in Hessenpark near Neu-Anspach. According to legend, this was built in 1643 during the Thirty Years' War as a thank you for the fact that the plundering and pillaging soldiers turned back here because they could not see Weyhers due to a seven-day thick fog and the place was spared from destruction.
