The park was founded in 1806 as a pharmacy garden for growing medicinal herbs. The park is famous for its numerous fabulous sculptural compositions made of stone and wood, decorative lighting, bridges, ponds, alleys lined with paving slabs or covered with tyrsa. On the territory of the park there are playgrounds, a restaurant, a cafe, a living corner, an amusement park, a Ferris wheel, a City chess club, a green theater. And in 2021, the Taganrog Tram art space was opened.
