The largest lake in the province of Bologna as well as one of the largest in the entire Emilia Romagna region, of artificial origin. It is fed by the Limentra Inferiore stream, one of the tributaries of the Reno.

Road cycling

to have the most effective views it is recommended to do this tour going up from Lagaro and first passing by lake Brasimone, the slopes are very similar but the first climbs will be sunny so it is better to do them early in the morning; in this way, however, the panoramic views of the lakes will be of great effect. Downhill from the lakes, then, the appearance of the splendid Rocchetta Mattei will take your breath away 👍🏼
