Wesel-Datteln Canal Riverside Path

Just beautiful. I always find it like a little day vacation to drive along the canal. It doesn't matter which side. There is so much to see. Nature, bridge, water, locks and ships. In between, just let your feet dangle in the water during a break. Or rest at one of the many options and enjoy the view.

Beautiful bike ride on the Wesel Datteln Canal, passing the Marina Dorsten with a new location on the opposite side of the canal at the harbor cafe Marina Dorsten. Arrival and lunch at EL Capitan - Restaurant and Hotel in Gahlen ****. with tapas plate cold and hot and a delicious San Miguel Especial.

Driving on the water is always nice. Great bike path! If you cross the bridges you can switch between the lip and the canal. The Lippeauen are especially beautiful.
