There used to be three of these mills in operation on the island of Werder. Even this one doesn't actually exist anymore because it burned down in the 1970s. However, since they didn't want to miss out on one of Werder's landmarks, they quickly built a comparable mill. Or rather: they moved her. Today's mill comes from Klossa near Jessen and is also a historic mill.

Cycling

The previous building fell victim to a fire in 1973. In Klossa near Leipzig one found a same mill in parts, which were restored, and rebuilt in 1985 in the same place. Completely completed since 1991. She has been able to cook again since 2007, and on the 2nd weekend of August every year, the mill festival takes place. It is one of the landmarks of the city.
