In true landowner spirit, this kissing gate has been heightened, narrowed and barb wired "to keep them pesky coyclists off moy land". While it may be the right of the landowner to do this, it remains a permissive footpath and has historic precedent as a road. If you're walking and have a waist size larger than 40, it'll be a push through this supremely narrowed gate. Forget trying to get a bike or anything larger than a backpack through!
