A truly impressive stone wall, made of stones collected from the surrounding fields... Today, these fields are mostly planted with forest.Unfortunately, the story behind it is less pleasant, as it is the story of the Great Famine of the 1860s. The landowner of nearby Runnarsköp exploited his position as the person responsible for distributing food aid to the needy and had them clear his land by laboring to remove the stones. This was the only way they could receive the aid.
