The bronze Astrid Lindgren statue was inaugurated on June 1, 2007, 100 years after Astrid Lindgren's birth, on the Näs farm in Vimmerby. You are welcome to sit opposite Astrid Lindgren for a photo!

The television series "Classics of World Literature" by and with Tilman Spengler honors the life and work of important writers and poets with short, quarter-hour film clips (in German). The episode that goes with this komoot highlight deals - if I may use this superlative - with probably the most famous children's book author in the world, namely ASTRID LINDGREN (1907 to 2002), who was born in Vimmerby.
