From Lago di Piano to San Fedele via Porlezza

From the starting point Camping Ranocchio in Carlazzo on Lago di Piano there is a wonderful road bike tour on mostly very quiet roads, which is often not the case in Italy. You first drive to Porlezza, initially on the main road, since the cycle path along the stream is not paved. Shortly after the supermarkets, turn left and you will come across a cycle path marked in red, henceforth tarred.
In Porlezza you keep to the ri Osteno. A little-used shore road with short tunnels and a wonderful view of Lake Lugano.
From Osteno the road leads via Claino, Laino to San Fedele. The ascent is 7.5 km. After a whopping 13%, more moderate sections follow, most of the time in the shade. Don't forget to enjoy the fantastic views.
Straight through San Fedele, it then goes wonderfully downhill to a turn-off re Ri Casaco. Caution: the turnoff is small and is still on a downhill road. Now it rises again and you follow the road to San Fedele. On this absolutely quiet section there are again wonderful views. Return from San Fedele the same way.
