The Medrano house dates from 1924 and has been protected as an Asset of Cultural Interest since 1989 and is the headquarters of the Delegation of the Community Board. The house-palace of the Medrano family is located on the corner of Paloma and Cruz streets and was ordered to be built by Juan Medrano Rosales-Maldonado y Medrano, who was mayor of Ciudad Real when on September 22, 1920 the so-called " women's riot" or "oil and flour riot", a revolt caused by the scarcity and scarcity of basic necessities.
