Above the Anko homestead there is a spring with healing water called “Jezersko mineral water”. It originates from a crevasse in the
Limestone from the Devonian in the area of Pristovški Storžič and Jezerski vrh.
The first analyzes of mineral water in Jezersko were carried out in 1984 and 1985 by the Ljubljana Geological Institute.
Jezersko mineral water contains a lot of calcium, as well as manganese and ammonium substances. It is rich in CO2. That
Mineral water is defined as calcium bicarbonate and its O2 content is not much lower than that of other Slovenian mineral springs.
Due to its manganese and ammonium substances, Jezersko mineral water is especially recommended for patients with cardiovascular diseases. It also has a positive effect on digestion due to its high manganese content. The maximum recommended daily dose is 2 deciliters.
