A great base for exploring the Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB, Woodbridge is a historic town on the River Deben. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, as well as several accommodation options.

The town is well known for Sutton Hoo, home to one of Britain's most important archaeological discoveries: the ship burial of an Anglo-Saxon king and his most valuable possessions.

On the River Debden, Woodbridge makes a beautiful location for a run. It is best known as being the home of Sutton Hoo, the burial site of an Anglo-Saxon King. He was interred in a ship surrounded by his most valuable possessions.
