Tips
Rough winter and barren ground - for a long time the Oberbreitenau was not a homely place. Until the Bavarian state bought up the abandoned property in the 1920s and largely renatured the area. Spruce forest was uncovered again, ditches filled. The resulting moor area is today a botanical highlight and hosts countless strictly protected plant species.
