On "dangerousroads.org" this road is described as a "terribly dangerous mountain road". For motorists, the road is now closed anyway, which is more of a guarantee for bikers for a nice, quiet time on two wheels! A bit of concentration can not hurt considering the steep slope on one side of the road;)
The "road" was built during the First World War, is approximately 10.5 kilometers long and connects the Passo Xomo with the Porte del Pasubio.

Great descent after the climb via the Strada degli Eroi, but can also be done as a climb.

The "Scarubbi" road connects Colle Xomo (1,058 m) to the Porte del Monte Pasubio (1,929 m) climbing up from the north-east side of Monte Pasubio. The journey is about 9.4 km and was a mulatteria (road traveled by mules and horses). In 1916 the road was initially the only road that could be traveled by vehicles, but then it came under fire from the Aussian-Hungarian troops and therefore dangerous for the Italians to travel. It was these difficulties that led in 1917 to the construction of the "road of the Galleries".
