From the refuge you have an amazing view of the Palagruppe (in Italian: Pale di San Martino), which since 2009 is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites. The rugged peaks are over 3,000 meters high, the highest peak is the Cima di Vezzana with 3,192 meters.
