The Cippo climb road climbs narrowly through the woods and is punctuated by memories of the Pirate and of Eddy Merckx's exploits in the Giros of '73 and '74: writings on the recently redone asphalt, blow-ups of the pages of the Gazzetta, installations on the walls. .. really suggestive.

The Cippo climb is made up of 22 hairpin bends, each hairpin bend is numbered and shows the altitude and distance to the summit.

The really tough part of the climb is between hairpin bends 1/22 and 2/22, where you climb up to 18%; then, until 4/22, things become slightly more normal, but still above 12%.

At hairpin bend 7 you will find the picnic area, the Forestry refuge, with the Pineta Museum, a campsite, a fountain.
