A town on the Kashubian-Borowiac borderland on the Wda River, in the area of the Bory Tucholskie forest complex and at the Maksymilianowo - Gdynia railway line. The green Tourist Trail of Stone Circles leads through Wojtal. Train station.
In the years 1975–1998, the town administratively belonged to the Bydgoszcz Province.
In Prussia as Wojthal, in Poland again from 1920.
