New churches are only being built in a few places in the country. One of them is Ekängen, where St. Martin is located. The church was inaugurated on Easter Monday 2012. The district has grown rapidly and around St. Martin villas, apartment buildings and terraced houses have grown at a rapid pace. The church is where people are, “in the middle of the village”.
