The Pega oak is one of the most exceptional trees in the municipality of Sant Celoni. Its height, crown diameter and perimeter size exceed the oaks measured by the government of Catalonia in 1997.
This oak tree clearly marked a stopping point at the source of the Pega on the old road between Sant Celoni and Olzinelles. The house of Can Valls, right next door, had rooms on the body, now in ruins, in case any walker or hauler got dark and had to stay to sleep.
