The Chappe Telegraph is a relic of human ingenuity dating back to the early 19th century. It was part of a line of 125 optical telegraphs (aerial) allowing messages to be transmitted between Paris and Venice in 24 hours, instead of 5 days on horseback. Very complete explanatory panels make it possible to understand the principle and to play the operator of the telegraph. Not to be missed under any circumstances! NB: this "summit" is a round trip, do not try to go further (cliff).
