From remote times, the church was modernized in 1747 and paintings were placed in it, including an altarpiece from the school of Francesco Solimena.

Unfortunately this and other canvases have been stolen but the recent restorations have allowed the fairly faithful reconstruction of the paintings by Salvatore Renzi. The object of the cult is the 17th-century fresco of the Madonna, S. Domenico and S. Caterina by an unknown artist.

A single hall, with chapels on the perimeters, ending with a rectangular apse where a large arch marks the passage to the apse area, surmounted by an octagonal dome with pendentives, while the entire hall has a flat roof with planking painted with floral motifs.

The annual festival takes place on 7 October and a solemn mass is celebrated sung by several priests, followed by a procession through the streets of the town.
