The cave was created by a huge boulder that fell and landed on other rocks in such a way that a cave was formed underneath. During World War II, the local population hid here from attacks by German soldiers.
The cave is surprisingly large and contains stairs and a bench.
Access requires a final scramble over large boulders and slippery tree roots.
