3/1/23 The whole section of the A27 shared cycle path east of Lewes is now complete, beautiful uninterrupted tarmac between Firle and the Drusillas roundabout, where it intersects with the Avenue Verte which heads north to Berwick and round to Polegate/ south towards Alfriston and round to Seaford. There are a couple of bends which may catch you out if you’re commuting at speed for the first time, and limited visibility at the road junctions, so I’d make sure kids know to stop and look, but it’s a wonderful improvement - just like the Ringmer cycle path but smoother.

Lovely new cycling path but I agree that signage isn’t sufficient for both cyclists and cars, especially the junction with Bopeep lane which is right after a few turns and big bushes limiting visibility.
