The history of this chapel begins in 1313, when the three towns des Gets, Taninges and Samoëns decided to fix the limits of their territory. On the borders of the Loex plateau, the boundaries are not accepted and a parcel called "le Sax de Jacquiert Curt" is coveted by all 3 parties. Then begins a trial which will last...366 years! In 1679 the judgment is rendered and sets the limits communal in the middle of the famous plot. The town of Les Gets, thinking he had won his case, decided to erect a chapel on the part of the plot allocated to him. In June 1679, the works begin, executed by a mason from Samoëns. On the night of 14 to 15 August of the same year, the chapel almost completed, was demolished by protesters. We will never find the culprits. In the years 1960 ONF agents find the ruins. The mayors of Les Gets, Taninges and Verchaix propose the reconstruction of the chapel and the people are mobilizing to rebuild it. From 1986 to 1989, on the foundations of 1679 is raised the current vault of Jacquicourt, thus putting an end to 6 centuries of conflict.
