    The Universal Postal Monument in the "Kleine Schanze" park was erected in 1909. The Universal Postal Union monument, unveiled on October 4, 1909, is the work of the French sculptor René de Saint-Marceaux (1845 - 1915). It is made of granite and bronze and commemorates the founding of the organization in Bern. On the occasion of the 150th anniversary, a dedication was unveiled in front of the monument on October 9, 2024.
