Gaminella river ford; in some periods of the year it swells and becomes dangerous to cross; the stream descends from Refrancore; in 665 AD a tremendous battle between the Lombards and the Franks took place there; according to a legend, the Rio Gaminella turned red with blood and the place, called Rivus Francorum, has preserved that memory to this day, calling itself Refrancore.
