That trail that runs alongside Stank Glen is an absolute delight – provided, that is, you find rooty, steppy and above all steep trails delightful. Every time you come across a trail problem, it reveals itself to be solvable in a highly satisfying way, and you emerge at the bottom thrilled that you've managed something so technical sight unseen.

If that really doesn't sound like your cup of tea though, the fire-road switchbacks down the hill are also an exhilarating blast.

Mountain biking

The top section (before you cross the road) starts fine, but is rather washed out towards the end. The middle section is fine. Too challenging for me though, so I bailed.
