At 284k into the route you'll arrive at the Night Control Post. If you arrive after 21:00 you are required to continue on the cut-off route. In the National Park Utrechtse Heuvelrug it's prohibited to ride your bike after sunset. If you arrive at the NCP after 21:00 you cannot continue on the official route and will need to switch to the alternative route to get to the finish.
