Bird Watching Hut 'Amfibion'

This special bird watching hut, designed by Natasha Oduber, a former student at Rietveld Academy, is located in Lutkemeerpark. The observation hut is called "Amphibion" because it is partly on land and partly in the water. The artist was inspired by the birds that also live in water and on land. The hut is built entirely of bamboo and with as few attachments as possible.

The Lutkemeer Park

Lutkemeerpark is the unofficial name of a park in the western part of the Lutkemeerpolder. The park was partly created in the 1990s when a business center was built on the southern edge of the polder. It is a so-called wetland that is part of the Dutch nature network.
