The railway viaduct was built over the valley of the river Libochovka in the years 1940 - 1952. On December 20, 1953, operation on the line between Brno and Havlíčkův Brod was ceremoniously started here. It is a bridge with one of the largest reinforced concrete railway arches in Central Europe.
