    Tips

    June 10, 2022

There is no obvious pathway leading to it and it’s right by the cliffs, so be careful, as it’s quite a climb/hike. However, the views will be worth it. If you visit in spring, on the way, you’ll also see fulmars nesting on the cliffs.

Excavations of the surrounding area in the 20th century revealed a deposit of middle Iron-Age and medieval pottery, a small hearth and a saddle quern, indicating the cave had been used by old communities.

The cave is currently inhabited by doves and there are signs of otters using it as a den, so approach with caution.
