The garden, located between Luisenpark, Steigerwald and egapark, was created between 1959 and 1961 for study purposes. In 1959, the city of Erfurt decided that the Rosaceae plant family should be represented in the garden. This can still be admired today. Flowering cherries are also native to the park. With reconstructed seating terraces, the garden monument offers many opportunities to relax and linger.
