The kiln was built after World War II on the Gobert, because there was limestone. Unfortunately, then the limestone quality proved to be poor, so that the operation had to be stopped after a short time.

A lime kiln on the Gobert, which nature is slowly recapturing. Still a very well preserved industrial monument on a beautiful route (Premiumwanderweg 4) with many highlights.
